Ghostwriting Jobs – Where Do You Get Yours?

by Amanda J Evans on May 28, 2007

When it comes to ghostwriting jobs the choices are endless and you could end up spending hours searching on different websites in order to find the perfect ghostwriting job. To help combat this extreme time wasting here are a few tips.

1. whenever you sign up with a ghostwriting jobs website be sure to register for their email alerts. This way you will always know when new ghostwriting jobs are posted. This will save you endless amounts of time searching for jobs.

2. Stick with just one or two ghostwriting jobs websites. I recommend having one paid website and up to 5 free ones. Again make sure you can receive e-mail alerts when new jobs are posted.

3. Set up a time schedule for job hunting. Determine in advance when you will look for ghostwriting jobs. If you decide to spend one hour everyday looking for new ghostwriting jobs make sure you stick to doing just this. Like I said you could spend hours looking for jobs and that will leave you with less time to focus on the assignments you have.

Write Your Articles In Minutes Including Research

by Amanda J Evans on May 23, 2007

The title of this post might sound a little strange but for anyone out there who has been writing articles for a while you really will see the benefit in this. Can you estimate how long it takes you to do your research? I know for most it will depend on the subject topic but in a vast majority of cases it can take anywhere up to a couple of hours to compile and go through your research for an article, and that’s for nearly all your articles unless of course you have a batch of 50 articles all on the same subject. In this case it may take less research for some of the articles.

Not to get side tracked what I wanted to tell you about today is a new software product that has just been launched. It’s called “Instant Article Wizard” and without going too crazy here I just have to say WOW, thank you Jonathan Leger.

I’ve used this product all week and I really am amazed, what bad things can I say, none so far. Good things, I have plenty.

Ghostwriting Uncovered A Huge Success

by Amanda J Evans on May 18, 2007

Ghostwriting Uncovered Volume 1: Articles launched on the 10th of May 2007 and the response has been phenominal. I have been inundated with e-mails from various people asking lots of questions about ghostwriting and the reality of a ghostwriting career.

Because of this I have decided to add a Questions & Answers Category to this blog. Anyone who has a question they would like answered is free to contact me at admin@ghostwritinguncovered.com I will personally answer all the questions I receive and I will also include them on the blog so that they can help others.

The second edition of Ghostwriting Uncovered is underway and this edition will focus on ebooks and everything a ghostwriter should know. This will include research, table of contents, pages, headers, footers, book cover graphics, etc. I am not planning to have this ready to launch anytime soon as I would prefer my readers to fully digest everything that volume 1 has covered first.

Capture Your Reader With First Sentences That Sizzle

by Amanda J Evans on May 18, 2007

In my last post we spoke about article titles, so today I want to move on and discuss first sentences.  It is your first sentence that will determine whether or not your reader will actually read your entire article or just move on to the next.   Does your first sentence compel them to keep reading or does it just scream boring nonsense?  The truth of the matter is that most writers really don’t have any idea about first sentences and how important they really are.  They just begin their article with the first thing that comes into their heads. Lets go back to the example we used before about Fitness and Exercise. The average article would most likely go something like this: Fitness and exercise is very important for maintaining a healthy body.  It’s very dull and dreary isn’t it.  What about this? Are you frustrated with the lack of energy you have?  Do you wish you could be more active and alert? Do you see what I mean? The second one grabs the readers attention and draws them into your article.  They want to read on to see exactly what you have to say.  This is the impact you want your first sentence to have and if you can produce articles like this for your clients believe me they will keep coming back for more.  To help you out here is a list of first sentence starters that you can use for your articles:  [click to continue…]

Can You Write Killer Article Titles?

by Amanda J Evans on May 10, 2007

The first thing that any successful ghostwriter needs to be able to do is write a killer headline.  These headlines are what will get you noticed.  Take for example you are writing an article for a client on “Fitness and Exercise”, you could have an article title like, “How To Be Fit And Exercise Correctly”.  Ok so it’s not bad but it’s not a great title either.

Now let’s say that you used a title like “5 Action Ideas To Get You Started On The Road To Fitness”. Can you see the difference? Having an eye catching title makes your article stand out.  If you were looking for an article on fitness and exercise, which one would you choose? With that said here are a few killer article titles that you can use:  [click to continue…]
