Freelancing And My Sat Nav

by Amanda on October 8, 2008

I just recently secured a new client that I am really thrilled about. Even better is the fact that he also lives here in Ireland making contact so much easier or so I thought. Turns out we are going to meet up for a coffee to discuss the project at hand. The problem is that he lives in a place I have never heard of. I know you probably think Ireland is small but its really not when you live here. Anyway I have the problem solved, I’ll be using my Sat Nav that great little GPS system that ensures I won’t get lost. Best of all, my SatNav even tells me how long it will take to get to my location and I can choose to avoid the motorways too if I want.

It really got me thinking, what would I have done without my trusted little companion. I could just imagine myself parked up at the side of the road trying to read a map to see where I was going, probably get lost, miss my appointment, and end up losing my client.

Technology really does have its advantages, I don’t think that we even own a road map anymore not since my partner got his Tom Tom and I got a Garmin. Mind you I must admit that his is much better than mine and I am thinking of changing and purchasing a TomTom Go 940.

Is there any technology that helps you with your freelancing work? We all have our PC’s but who would have thought that a Sat Nav would be a freelancing companion?

Until next time,

Amanda.
