I have just stumbled upon a great post over on All Freelance Writing that is in fact an interview with LaToya Irby a freelance writer who has found success after increasing her rates. LaToya was like many other freelancers out there and she was writing those low paid keyword stuffed articles. LaToya however did something, she increased her rates and is now a very successful freelance writer. Take a look at the interview for yourself. It doesn’t tell you where she gets her jobs from but it still a very exciting read and one that will put you in the right frame of mind to increase your own rates and take the chance on boosting your own freelancing career too.
The title of the post is How One Freelance Writer Increased Her Income Ten-Fold. Go ahead and check it out then come back and let me know what you think. Do you think you have been inspired to increase your rates? Do you think you will take some action after reading the interview?
Until next time,
Keep writing

I’m glad you found the interview worthwhile.
I can’t speak for how LaToya gets all of her gigs, but I do know she gets some at the higher rates through networking (very common). For example, she’s active in some forums where her posts (not direct advertisements) help to attract buyers, and she also gets referrals through her network (know that because I personally refer her for quite a few gigs). Hope that helps!
Thanks Jenn,
it’s great to let my readers know just how important networking is when it comes to securing new clients. I myself have started networking and find Twitter very useful.
I think she still charges too little, but at least it’s an improvement.
