Welcome to today’s issue of European freelance writing jobs. As you know, I go through Craigslist every morning to see what jobs are posted for those of us who live in Europe. Unfortunately there are days when there are very few jobs and sometimes no jobs at all posted. Today is one of those days, there is only one job posted but it’s a good one so here it is.
Article and story writers required
We are an establised US based company looking for article and story writers for a network of high quality websites. All work must be unique and of a good standard. Article writers can expect up to £25 per hour and short stories are paid up to a maximum of £275.
All work must be unique and must not have been published before. Previous applicants need not apply.
This job looks really promising and because payment is in sterling it means it works out at quite a lot when you convert it to dollars. At today’s rates, £275 will get you a whopping $408 which is quite good for a short story don’t you think. £25 per hour works out at $37 per hour so this really is quite a good paying job for anyone that gets it. This is definitely one that I will be applying for myself.

We are a fledging arts review based out of Western Michigan seeking poignant short fiction or poetry. The online journal will begin running in Mid-December and select pieces will be transcribed into a print edition beginning next year. We have four readers and are in the midst of compiling the most extensive pool of material possible so that we have sterling work upon launch. The online journal will be paying in exposure, as we have developed networks with several prominent authors and professors. However, if your work is selected for the print edition you will be compensated monetarily. [click to continue…]

EU Freelance is the latest innovation from GetAFreelancer. Using the same layout and functionality of GetAFreelancer, EU Freelance allows invididuals to bid and secure freelance jobs in the Euro currency. For those of us living in Europe and having Euro as our currency this is great especially when you consider that the dollar is not worth as much as it used to be.
If I secure a freelance writing job that pays me $300, all I am really getting is Euro236. This is what makes EU Freelance so appealing to me. I love the fact that when I bid on the jobs I am not trying to convert Euro to Dollars to see what to bid. Besides this however, what is EU Freelance and how does it compare to all the other bidding websites out there.
