Content Writing Is A Waste Of Time

by Amanda on February 5, 2009

I hope the headline hasn’t shocked you too much and if it has then let me tell you my reason for it.  After doing some careful marketing research over the past couple of days I decided to contact a number of Irish based web design companies to offer my content writing services.  You may not be aware of this, but more and more web design companies are now including copywriting packages that their clients can choose from.  One such web design company is Solas Web Design and their range of copywriting packages is extensive.  They offer a Blog Journalling package which includes 4 blog articles per month at 500 words minimum per post for get this….$500.  Yes $500 for 4 blog posts.

Information overload can be quite a common complaint for anyone searching the internet. More often than not, when people search for information they get hit with the same content over and over again. It may come in the form of different headlines but when the page is accessed it is the same information.

This is where your unique method of research can come into play. Listed below are some ideas that you can use that will easily generate fresh content with the minimal amount of time and effort.

First of all, think about a subject you are about to research. Let’s say it’s fashion. Now if you’re not aware of it, let me put you in the picture. Most people do web searches from Google‘s home page and stop there. This is not at all creative and not the way to get the most original content either. You need to digg further to develop original content for your clients.
