This is the last of my four part series on writing effective SEO articles for your clients. I hope you have learned a lot during this series and any questions you may have feel free to post them in the comments section and I will answer them as quickly as I can. On to the last part of this series and today our focus is on links. A good linking strategy is a vital component in any clients SEO article campaign. Links are used to let search engines know what the theme of a web page is and when clients are working on creating SEO web pages their theme will need to be consistant with the keywords that are used in the content of their pages. This of course will be your job as the content writer.
Links are used to tell search engines that crawl the content what the theme of the destination page will be. An example of this would be a link for “used books” where you client could own an e-book website, or perhaps be an affiliate for a popular book store such as Alibris.com.

1. Avoid Duplicate Content
This is probably the most important rule that you have to remember although as a writer this probably won’t apply to you if you are professional and serious about your career. There are however, some people out there who market themselves as writers who do actually just copy and paste content for their articles so I have to include this. What you need to realise, is that when search engines comes across duplicate content on the internet they need to decide which website contains the original content. Once this has been determined the other websites will not be given any credit, so for a client, this is a waste of their money. The articles you write NEED to be unique if you want to sustain your career and gain valuable clients.
